Recipe to Make Laundry Liquid Soap

Liquid laundry soap can cost a lot of money, which makes homemade laundry soap appealing to many people. Commercial laundry detergents contain chemicals that can harm the environment as well. You can make a natural and cost-efficient laundry soap at home with common cleaning ingredients. After you make the laundry soap, you can store it in a large container in your laundry room. Instructions

    Grate 1/3 of the bar soap.

    Bring 6 cups of water to a boil on the stove top. Add the soap to the boiling water. Stir until it dissolves completely.

    Add cup of washing soda and cup of borax to the soap and water mixture. Stir until the ingredients dissolve.

    Pour 4 cups of hot water in a 2-gallon bucket. Pour in the soap mixture and stir.

    Pour in an additional 5 qts. of hot water and stir. Place a lid on the bucket.

    Allow the liquid laundry detergent to set for 24 hours.

    Add cup of the liquid detergent to each load of laundry.
